In the 16th century foreign forces (The Lorreins) roamed the pampas (moorland and bogs) and plundered , provoced the settings of the local farmers.
Tired of the endless attacks,ravages ect… the locals formed their own ‘resistance’ force.
Armed with sickles , hayforks ,flails and other tools the ‘Huyslieden’organized for the battle against a army well trained formed out of mercenaries on horseback.
